EMOTIONAL RESILIENCE AND HOW TO LEARN IT

How

Scientific research has shown that learning to deal with our thoughts, feelings and urges is a critical skill for supporting and enhancing human wellbeing. Yet in spite of the importance of these skills, they are often overlooked and instead society tends to focus on teaching people skills for dealing with the external world. This is changing however, and today there are a range of evidence based models for teaching children and young people how to respond more skillfully to the world inside their bodies - their thoughts and their emotions in particular. When they do this they become more emotionally resilient and are able to face setbacks and disappointments that come in life.
